Fake Roll Back

The player tricks the opponent by making him believe he will roll the ball all the way back. However, if you perform this trick to perfection, he will stop the ball, while the defender assumes it will keep going. Very handy near the penalty area. However, I wouldn’t recommend you to use this ANYWHERE in your own half!

Advanced Rainbow Flick

A similar idea to “The Simple Rainbow Flick”, however, can be used to greater effect. Unfortunately, this version of the trick, in FIFA 2010, is much harder to achieve. Beware, you need some serious skills before attempting this!

The Simple Rainbow Flick

There are two versions of the Rainbow flick in FIFA 2010, the idea being more or less exactly same. The player flicks the ball above his head while still or on the move. This is surely an extravagant trick, but it can be used to beat the keeper. It doesn’t get much better than ending a Simple Rainbow flick, with a scorching volley, in FIFA 2010.

The Hocus Pocus

Use your inside heel to bring the ball to left side then hit the ball with outside foot.

The Flip-Flap

The ball strikes his planted foot and goes the other way.This tricks the enemy defender leaving him off balance.

The Rabona

The rabona is a method of kicking the football whereby the kicking leg is wrapped around the back of the standing leg – effectively with one’s legs crossed.

The Chest Flick

This is a hard trick to perform and will take some practice, but is well worth it to show off to your mates. As you can see from the below image the payer juggles the ball before flicking it up and rolling it across his chest.

The Step-Over

The Step-over or Scissor move fakes a change of direction using the outside of the foot. The foot is brought from inside to out around the front of the ball. This move requires a fair amount of space to perform effectively. Try it too close to the defender and the ball will easily be intercepted. The tricks can be combined with exit moves the gain the player as much space as possible, we will cover this in later tuts.

The Rainbow Flick

There are two versions of the Rainbow flick in the game, but the principle is basically the same. The player will flick the ball up over his head while either standing or on the run. This is definitely a flair move, but it can be used in open field, or even to beat the keeper. It doesn’t get much prettier than finishing a Rainbow flick off with a scorching volley.

The Sombrero Flick

This move has to be executed from a standing position. It can be used to beat a defender that is approaching from your back; however, it is often a better strategy to just lay the ball off and pass it back after the player makes a run.
